Teahl was born and raised in Ohio and currently resides in Kansas. Teahl hopes to destigmatize mental illness through her writing. She earned her MA in English Literature from Southern New Hampshire University in 2021. Some of her accomplishments include Honorable Mention for Northwest State Community College’s (NSCC) Poetry Contest in 2018—“A wRiter’s Technique,” NSCC Award of Merit in Arts & Sciences in 2018, “Mini Giant” featured in The University of Toledo’s Literary Arts Magazine in 2018, "Distinguished Scholar" awarded by Southern New Hampshire University in April 2022, and "Writing Sisters: Emily Dickinson Saved My Life" published in the Journal of AutoEthnography in July 2023. Teahl is currently working on her Master of Social Work; she aspires to positively contribute to behavioral health therapy upon completion.
