Catherine Berresheim earned her MFA in creative nonfiction from Spalding University’s Naslund-Mann Graduate School of Writing in November 2013. She is now a full time associate professor for a local community college.
Ms. Berresheim began her professional writing career in 2009 working as a reporter for a little community paper, The News Herald. From there, she moved onto local magazines, like the East Nashvillian (2012-2014), and Nashville Arts Magazine (2014-2019) writing monthly features. Much of her early work was published under the married surname of Randall. Examples of her essay work have appeared in the Nashville Scene under her pseudonym, Cate Berr. Current publications include Witches Mag, Untamed Voices, Off Center, and Medium/Landslide Lit(erary).
