Maegan Parker Brooks, PhD, is Associate Professor and Chair at Willamette University where she teaches classes in Grief Communication, Death Communication, and Autoethnography. Brooks co-founded and co-facilitates the Diversity of Loss peer support group on Willamette’s campus. In the local community, she facilitates a peer support group at the Dougy Center for Grieving Children and Familes. She recently earned a certificate in Arts-Assisted Grief Therapy from the Portland Institute for Transition and Loss.
